What I've noticed in current society is that people use humor as a "mask" or excuse for being bad. Everyone knows when they are not being good, but they think being bad is cool as long as it's funny. Humor wins the crowd and that's their justification. Then, the people who persist to be good and refuse to use this "humor" are considered to have no sense of humor. I mean if you take out all the religious, racist, sexist, physical conditions, some people really can't make a joke since this is what fuels bad people's humor. Then, these bad people cannot even fathom why a person such as this is soo good. Then in order to explain, they that person has no social life, shy, nerd, etc. etc.

I do think it is important for good people to not let bad people take advantage of them. This is hardest part. If it was easy, then we would have our ultimate philosophy or religion. You can't ever stop bad jokes, but I think the best way to fight it is with sarcasm. I think good people have a responsibility to TEACH bad people a lesson through words via sarcasm. It has worked for me and trust me, it's effective. Like I said, bad people already have an innate understanding between good vs bad, but they don't realize sometimes which side they are on.

The above only works if you're not an ASPD (Anti-Social Personality Disorder) i.e. no conscience.
